This blog provides a space for conversations about articles and ideas found in AALL Spectrum, the monthly magazine of the American Association of Law Libraries.
Led by Editorial Director Mark Estes, director of the Bernard E. Witkin Alameda County Law Library in Oakland, California, AALL Spectrum publishes engaging and informative articles on topics of interest to law librarians and other legal information professionals, as well as news about the Association and its 5,000 members in the United States, Canada and around the globe.
We hope that you read and take part in the conversations about law librarianship and the future of the profession.

Mark, I noted in your November column that you got carded in a bar. You have good company. Recently our state’s governor showed up with her husband and some friends at an Olympia bar. She did not have her ID and the attendant refused to admit her without her first showing it. Needless to say the local newspaper had fun with this especially because the governor had to go home (to the governor’s mansion, that is) alone while the “first gentleman” (we don’t use “dude” here) and the others went inside for a drink! At least in your case you ended up in a place with a better choice of brews.

As we at Seton Hall Law mourn the passing of our Head of Reader Services, Ms. Eileen Denner, we thought that your readers, many of whom Ms. Denner came to know over the years, would want to know.

The June 2011 Spectrum says that Jacqueline Cantwell’s TOC is posted here at this website. Am I missing it? I’ll keep looking but thought I’d save some time in case I’m mega confused 🙂
Thanks!
Laura
Laura, thank you for reminding us of this! It slipped through the cracks when we had a staff change in late May/early June. We just posted it to the blog this morning. Thanks again!
